Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her writing and design. She is a proponent of the rights of animals. The actress is famous for movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). She was raised by an artistic family in New York and wanted to pursue a career in artistic fields. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant and then moved on to modeling and acting. She was noticed in her first two movies and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was an enormous success that earned her fame worldwide and also an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. In just three films, MacGraw was named the top female box-office start around the globe. Her handprints and signatures were recorded at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
